Minutes, hours. Days & Years

"Inside The Glass"

There's no denying,
take time from prying,
immune from crying,
trapped inside,

His soul is dying, as he dreams of flying
left to reside in, his own prison
soulless nature, no learned behavior
am I the savior, he's been looking for

four walls closing in, you stuck on your back
wish I could be you, trapped inside the glass

POEM EXPLANATION-
When I was a freshman in college, my roommate had this pet turtle. I would walk in drunk and this thing would always be stuck on it's back and you would have to turn it back over. I started thinking to myself when I would have problems and I would come home drunk that me and this turtle were kind of alike, and I understood him, even thought maybe he counted on me.
